I had the best adventure packed day this past weekend, and today I am going to write about how you can too! Not only did I go paddle boarding for the first time ever, but I also went on a canoe tour of the Toronto Islands, which is something I experienced for the first time too. If you’d like to find out how you can rent out these experiences and more then you should definitely keep on reading.

What is Ruckify?
Ruckify is the world’s largest online peer-to-peer rental market place, which was founded in Ottawa, Canada (we love a Canadian brand!!) Ruckify is empowering their users to rent out things and experiences that they already own to be able to earn extra cash, and to reduce their own environmental impact. It also allows users to then rent from others on the app. Ruckify has also launched TreeProject, which is a commitment from Ruckify to plant one tree for every transaction, review, and sign up made on the app. So not only are you lowering your carbon footprint by renting instead of buying, but you are also apart of their mission towards a greener, and healthier earth!
First Rental of The Day: Paddle Boarding
I had never been paddle boarding before, so when I got a chance to rent out some paddle boards through Ruckify I immediately said yes! I was able to go on the app, ask the renter if it was available on the date and time I wanted and then once that was confirmed we were able to book.
On the day of our rental we headed down near Woodbine beach to start off our adventure day! We were greeted by Brian who set us up with waivers to sign and then showed us exactly how to use the paddle board. Now I have to be honest, it did take me a bit to get enough confidence to stand up on the paddle board but I finally did it… and then right after I fell in lol. I am very stubborn though, so I was determined to get it right and I eventually did. Once our rental period of two hours was over we brought the paddle boards back to shore and Brian took care of the rest!
Overall, the first part of our adventure day couldn’t have gone smoother and it made us super excited for the next part! If you are interested in booking the paddle board rental click here.
Second Rental: Canoe Tour of The Toronto Islands
We left sometime in between the first and last rental of the day because we knew we needed time to chill and get something to eat. We were super excited for this last rental because my boyfriend and I love going to the islands in the summer, and we hadn’t had a chance to go yet.. because well COVID. Anyways ,we hoped on the ferry to Center Island where Peter was there to greet us and bring us to where we needed to be for the canoe tour.
The tour of the island was not only stunning, but Peter who was the one navigating the canoe had a bunch of random facts about the Islands origin, ghost stories and overall things that I had never known before! This rental was also two hours in length and it was more than enough time to take in the beautiful views of the city and just really enjoy ourselves! Once we were back on land we got an epic view of the sunset, which was truly the best way our adventure day could’ve ended! If you are interested in this specific canoe tour click here.
Overall, we had such a great experience with both of our rentals and with Ruckify itself. I couldn’t recommend using this app enough and can’t wait to rent more things through the app. If you haven’t already check out my Instagram story highlight to see more of our day and check out this TikTok I made that also highlights all of our favourite parts of the day! Finally, feel free to use this link to sign up on Ruckify to get 25 “Ruckbucks” that you can use towards your first booking! If you have any questions about any of the bookings leave a comment down below! If not, let me know what is something that you would want to rent out?
Until the next adventure,
The Vacay Girl
